Director S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones, The Defenders) has recently decided to turn her back on Paramount's sci-fi blockbuster Star Trek 4 to work on HBO's Game of Thrones, at least according to Deadline, meaning that the film has been put on hold for now.
Last autumn there were reports on disagreements between license-holder Paramount and actors from past films that allegedly caused some issues with the project. Now that the director is gone and the project apparently shelved though, Trekkies might have to wait a while for another film.
