From January 25th to 27th there is a demo (some would call it a beta) planned for Anthem, the new sci-fi action game developed by Bioware and coming next month. This demo is dubbed a "VIP demo" as only those who have pre-ordered their copy of the game or have an active EA Access/Origin Access subscription will be able to access this beta test, but there will also be a public beta starting from February 1st for all the other players.
In the past few hours, Bioware's Lead Producer, Michael Gamble, explained why the firm decided to organise a public beta, as you can read below:
"Had a few people ask me about why we are doing an open Anthem Demo. This is why: your money is hard earned. Games are an investment. We think it's fair you get to try before you buy. The entire campaign has been one of transparency, and we think Anthem is cool to watch but AWESOME to play."
At this message, one fan replied that it did not take much effort to make a demo, but Gamble showed that he strongly disagreed with this statement, saying, "That's not true. Demos take a lot of extra time and effort to make. One day when I have a moment I'll go through why."
In short, it's amazing that Bioware cares about their players and give them a better idea of the experience that awaits them when Anthem will be available on February 22 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Will you make an effort to try the demo? What do you think about the game?
Thanks, Wccftech.
