Yesterday Pirate Bay cofounder Gottfrid Svartholm was indicted on hacking charges, after being accused of hacking into the systems of the Nordea Bank.
These charges are separate to his recent conviction, for which he is currently serving a one year prison sentence, for his involvement in the notorious Pirate Bay website.
"A large amount of data from companies and agencies was taken during the hack, including a large amount of personal data, such as personal identity numbers of people with protected identities," said prosecutor Henrik Olin in a recent statement.
The initial report on Wired also mentions that three others were indicted in connection to the hacking spree, but that Svartholm was the central figure behind the attack.
