Earlier today there were rumours making the rounds that Criterion were working on a remake/reboot/re-envisioning of Need for Speed: Underground as EGM posted an image with a new logo for the title. They got it from an anonymous source, but EGM are highly credible, so it's hard to imagine its completely fake.
Criterion head Alex Ward took to Twitter to refute the rumours:
"Totally fake. Remakes and Reboots? #movedon"
Could it be that another studio is working on the Need for Speed: Underground reboot? EA's recently founded Gothenburg studio Ghost is said to be working on a Need for Speed title - and why not an Underground reboot?
