Adam Orth resigns from Microsoft

"Always On" defender leaves as result of controversy.

Adam Orth, the creative director at Microsoft who found himself admidst the "always on" controversy. He tweeted:

"Sorry, I don't get the drama around having an 'always on' console."

"Every device now is 'always on.' That's the world we live in #dealwithit"

For which he was blasted online, and Microsoft felt it necessary to distance themselves and apologise - particularly for some remarks he made about where to live.

Reports online (Polygon, Kotaku) point to Orth having resigned his position with Microsoft.

Meanwhile, The Verge reports on the next Xbox requiring an online connection and being positioned as an alternative to Google TV.
