Skulls and fire show Mutant Year Zero's difficulty

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden launches fully tomorrow on PC, PS4, and Xbox One (though early access has unlocked for pre-orders on Steam) and we've got a review lined up to drop. However, we thought we'd give you a taste of the first choice you'll make as you embark on your adventure in the Zone with stalkers Dux and Bormin. As you can see the harder you make the game, the meaner the duo looks with added skulls, bones, smoke, etc.

Then if you turn on the Iron Mutant, that is Permadeath mode you get flames added for good measure:

As you can see there's no easy mode for this game, it starts on normal, then hard, and very hard, and as you may have guessed it is a challenging endeavour that launches tomorrow.
