As teased by organiser-in-chief Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards is set to see a number of high profile announcements next week, and among them we know that the new game by Obsidian Entertainment will be unveiled during the show (which is scheduled to take place on December 6/7 at 1:30am GMT, if you fancy staying up late and seeing the announcements firsthand).

Now, adding to our general excitement, a mysterious countdown has appeared on the company's official website, followed by a quirky advert in which products from fictitious companies called Spacer's Choice and Auntie Cleo's products are on show. As you can see in the image below, it's a retro-looking sci-fi weapon, which certainly has our imaginations working overtime.

Interestingly, while Microsoft recently announced the acquisition of Obsidian, this new game is beging published by Take-Two Interactive's Private Division, which suggests that this will be a multi-platform game and not exclusively for Xbox. We await more news with interest.
