Ubisoft has been forced to pull the plug on their Uplay service after hackers found an exploit that allowed them to download games without paying for them, including the yet to be released Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
The Far Cry spin-off isn't the only game that opportunistic gamers were able to download, and this security breach prompted Ubisoft to shut the service down as they look to stop it happening again.
Ubisoft told Polygon: "No personal information was compromised. Uplay's PC download service will be unavailable until the problem is fixed however all other Uplay services remain available."
