It was only last year that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released to much acclaim with both rave reviews and enormous sales numbers. Most of us assumed that the next Zelda is way off, especially considering how long time it took for Nintendo EPD to make BotW. However, the editor of Game Informer, Imran Khan, seems to know something and claims we actually might not have to wait that long.
It was in the latest episode of their podcast GI Show that he said this regarding the release of the next Zelda:
"I was just thinking what I should say about that. The next Zelda will probably be sooner than we think...I will talk to you guys off camera about stuff."
This was followed up by a question on whether it's a multiplayer game or something made my the Triforce Heroes team, to which he responded:
"Um, not exactly."
What this means exactly remains to be seen, but with The Game Awards just around the corner (on December 8), we might just get a glimpse of Zelda's future there. What do you make of all this?
