While most expected Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu!/Let's Go Eevee! to do well, as the series usually does, studies and sales numbers from the UK seems to indicate that it's doing a lot better than just "well". Now sales numbers from the game's first days on Japanese store shelves have arrived, and it proves that the game is a powerhouse.

Famitsu can officially report, based on statistics from Media-Create, that the games have already sold 664,198 units in Japan within the first three days on the market.

Not only did the game sell that many units as a platform exclusive, but the number of Switch console sold also went up by 180,565 units, proving that the game is driving console sales, and stands beside a recent insider report, that it's having a "noteworthy" impact on US Switch console sales too.
