Sony shared the first official image from the upcoming Monster Hunter movie on social media last night, with the said image showing Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa in full Monster Hunter gear.
The movie is being directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, most notably known for writing the screenplay for the Resident Evil movies as well as directing the over the top Mortal Kombat film adaptation and the sci-fi horror flick Event Horizon. So he's done the game-to-movie thing before - let's hope that this particular one turns out as well as the well-received Monster Hunter: World. As for whether it actually will, only time will tell.
