Now that Sony isn't coming to E3 2019, people have been speculating as to when we'll see their next console, and now RuthenicCookie4 has taken to Reddit to not only confirm Sony's absence from the LA show, but also reveal some more details about the hardware.

"PS experience returning, Most devs already have dev kits for PS5 (Spoiler: It's a monster), Sony prepping hard for PS5 and one of the reasons for no E3 next year because they blew all their load this year and got nothing new to show next year (They want to show new stuff at PSX)," they wrote first.

But when would this be? Well, RuthenicCookie4 claims we'll be getting a "small reveal mid-2019, Big one at PSX," with dual versions (both PS4 and PS5) for announced games such as The Last of Us 2, Death Stranding, and Ghost of Tsushima, as well as Knack 3.

He even went into specs, saying that the PS5 uses a Ryzen 8 core that let games run solidly at 4K and 60 FPS. "PS VR 2 on the other hand will have no breaker box this time around it'll be inside the console," they added later, with the camera and new PS Move controllers also coming along.

This is all unconfirmed of course, so take it with a pinch of salt, but RuthenicCookie4 did know about Sony's absence from E3 before it was confirmed. Then again, he has also said that Sony is "testing some gloves" to go with VR too, so who knows.

Are you excited to see what Sony has to show?
