It has been five years since we first picked up our PS4 at a midnight opening at our local specialist retailer, and what a half-decade it has been since then. Sony has absolutely smashed it with the PS4 and this generation has offered up some truly timeless classics in terms of games. On top of some great first-party exclusives, you also have to take into account the launches of the PS4 Pro and PSVR - it's been a busy few years.
The mark the occasion the company has also released some interesting new stats with regards to the popular console. Most notably is the new sales figures for the PlayStation 4, with the platform holder confirming 86.1 million consoles sold-in over the last five years, with software sales adding up to a staggering total of 777.9 million.
