Danish developer Playdead (Limbo, Inside) has revealed more details for its next project in an interview with Danish public service. According to Arnt Jensen, co-founder and art director, the new title will be "a little bigger [...] than the other two", which also allows it to be a "more open" game.
Jensen also revealed the new project will step away from 2D design, such as in Limbo and Inside, and will be a "3rd person game with a much larger area". "I've been tired of the limitations in 2D games", Jensen tells. "We have been through all over the past many years. So without knowing how to deal with the big world, that's the way we did to get back on insecure grounds."
Besides these details, and the first concept images, there's not much know about Playdead's new sci-fi project. Playdead is still in the phase of development where they are testing out concepts and ideas and currently around 40 people are working at the studio.
