Apparently the new Xbox controller that's currently with dev teams is covered in stripes, and reportedly looks like a zebra.
A report on Kotaku states that four unrelated industry sources have confirmed the new look being sported by the controller, a design also adorning the console and the new Kinect sensor.
The likely reason behind the new design is to discourage leaks of the new equipment, because if the stripes on each kit are unique, it'd be easy for Microsoft to trace it back to offending dev team should pictures of it land on the internet.
After images of the PS4 controller were revealed ahead of the console's big announcement in February, Microsoft will be keen not to have something similar happen to them before they announce the next Xbox, either later this month, or maybe even in May.
Other details revealed in the report are that the new controller will be very similar to the one we're already using, only "a little smaller". It apparently packs the same features as the current iteration, with twin-analogue sticks, similarly placed buttons, and no new inputs (like the Wii U controller's screen, or the PS4's touchpad).
