Contrary to their mostly adult-oriented video games like The Banner Saga trilogy, Hello Neighbor, We Happy Few, and some versions of Fortnite, Gearbox Publishing (not to be confused with Gearbox Software, who developers the Borderlands series) seems to be working on "a new tent-pole franchise", according to a tweet from John Vignocchi.
Vignocchi himself has just joined the company as executive producer of said project, and he explains that they will "be working on something that we hope will surprise and delight gamers of all ages; whether you're six or sixty... And I cannot wait to share more!"
Prior to this project Vignocchi oversaw Disney's toys-to-life product Disney Infinity, and now he's sticking with the family-friendly theme. What could this new project be though?
