Recently Nintendo of America's President Reggie Fils-Aime claimed in an interview that his competitors weren't only Microsoft and Sony, but rather all kinds of technology, and it seems like this feeling is mutual, as the Chinese company Huawei just recently unveiled their new upcoming smartphone Huawei Mate 20 X, and chose to compare it to Nintendo Switch rather than offerings from companies like Apple, LG, or Samsung.

Huawei is also releasing a gamepad for Mate 20 X, as reported by NintendoSoup, and claims this makes the smartphone a "better portable game machine" than the Switch, since it has a 7.2" 1080p display that is both better and bigger than the 6.2" 720p screen on the Switch. On top of that, the battery lasts more than twice as long as the three hours you get from a fully charged Switch.

Of course, no video game unit has ever been better than the games available for it, and unless Huawei has a couple of tricks up its sleeve, we don't think Nintendo will be too worried by these statements, especially since these aren't all the specs for the phone.

Would you choose a phone over a Switch?
