The week is starting off with some tactical sci-fi action with the launch of Space Hulk: Tactics (PC, PS4, Xbox One) on October 9. It's a game undoubtedly inspired by Xcom 2, which is getting the War of the Chosen - Tactical Legacy Pack expansion on PC on the same day (normally we don't cover free updates, but this one seems like a game changer).

My Memory of Us (PC, PS4, and a day later on Xbox One), Home Sweet Home (PS4, Xbox One, PSVR) and Mark of the Ninja: Remastered (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch) all launch on the 9th too, and CardLife is hitting Steam Early Access as is FTL-like Shortest Trip to Earth.

MapleStory 2 is the solitary launch on October 10, but let's fatten up this para with a game that has a release date that falls in no man's land, Disgaea 1 Complete (PS4, Switch), which lands on October 9 in the US, and on October 12 in the EU.

The next day, October 11, Tricky Towers, Child of Light, and The Swindle all land on the Switch, as does Joggernauts (but that one's also releasing on PC). The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch) is the next game by Swery and White Owls also drops on the 11th, and The Light Keeps Us Safe is stalking onto Steam Early Access on the same day.

Then the week ends with a bang. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to march onto PC, PS4, Xbox One on October 12, and it'll be joined on retail shelves by Luigi's Mansion (3DS) and The World Ends with You -Final Remix- (Switch).

That lot should keep you busy. Until next week.

The new face of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, out this week on October 12.
