The Game Boy is one of the most beloved consoles that Nintendo has ever produced, and if you've been missing the handheld, you might be pleased to know that Siliconera has discovered a patent Nintendo has filed for a Game Boy touchscreen phone case in the US, having been filed on March 16 this year.

This case features all the Game Boy buttons you'd expect, which can be pressed to activate the touchscreen beneath, with the case open where the screen would be, meaning you can play certain games using this case.

All of this points to Game Boy content coming to smart phones and tablets, since Nintendo specified that it doesn't have to just be a phone, and you can see the images that came with the patent down below.

Does this sound like a case you'd get?
