There may not be a solo campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, but there is still a story holding it all together. Treyarch has worked with a number of writers and artists to create a series of ten visual novels featuring the specialists from Black Ops 4. For the moment, only the comics for Ruin, Prophet, and Crash have been released, but the rest should be published soon enough.

These comics (which are all available to download for free right here) focus on the ten specialists that star in Black Ops 4, and they sound like they'll be helpful to those after a way to find out more about the characters that we'll control on the battlefield after Treyarch controversially announced that this year's COD would have no single-player campaign.

As a reminder, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will land on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 12th. Feel free to take a look at our impressions of the game's Blackout mode.
