If you're a Fortnite fan, you probably already know that Epic Games' battle royale shooter is about to launch its sixth season. If you're curious to discover what that entails, you're in the right place!

As we revealed yesterday, some of the content will be related to Halloween. The map has been changed to look more horrifying and atmospheric, and a single-use object was introduced: Shadow Stones. Sadly that introduction didn't go as planned.

These new items were scattered around the corrupted areas of the map and allowed players to turn into a shadow for a short period of time (45 seconds to be precise). In this state you could no longer use your weapons, but you were invisible if stood still. Speed and jumping distance were also amplified and there's a new skill, Phase, which lets you pass through obstacles.

However, a glitch was discovered. If you were killed in this state and then resuscitated by an ally, you kept your invisibility (and all of the perks that went with it) while ALSO regaining the ability to shoot and build. Far too great an advantage, as confirmed over on the game's Twitter account when Epic shut down the feature until they can find a solution:

"Due to an issue with Shadow Stones, we're disabling them until we have a fix."

Looking past the whole Shadow Stones issue, there's also content related to the Day of the Dead as a new enemy enters Save the World - Riot Husky. Check out the image below.

Finally, there was one other important part of the update that we should tell you about: you can now carry a pet with you in your backpack and they can watch your back. Awwwwww.

If you want to read every last detail to get the most out of the changes, check out the patch notes over on the game's official website.
