21-year-old Chris Taylor had always been a huge fan of the Smash Bros. series. Taylor also suffered from terminal cancer, however, so when he asked for one thing via the Make-a-Wish Foundation, it was to play the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate early. His poor health it meant it was unlikely he would make it to December 7th, when the game will be released on the Switch.
That wish reached Nintendo who decided to make sure it came true. The company took the game to Chris for him to play at home with some of his closest friends. This happened just a few days ago, however, in the last few hours we've discovered that, unfortunately, Chris has lost his battle with cancer.
The sad news was confirmed over on Reddit by Chris's brother, Zach, who also wanted to thank all those who helped make sure that Chris could play his favorite video game one last time.
Thanks, NintendoLife.
