Among the most anticipated games this autumn is Red Dead Redemption 2, the epic new western adventure developed by Rockstar and which is coming next month to Xbox One and PS4 (you can read our super-detailed preview over here if you'd like to know more).

One aspect that characterises this massive game, among the many details that make it truly unique, is the amount of choice that will, in turn, allow the player to model their own gaming experience in the way they see fit.

In an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, the art director Josh Bass said that the players will have hundreds of choices to make during the game, decisions which will somehow influence Arthur's experience as an outlaw.

"While there's an overarching story, the game is filled with choices for Arthur to make that will allow you to decide what kind of outlaw Arthur is - whether he's an honorable outlaw or someone less honorable is up to you," Bass said.

"The world will respond to these choices in ways both big and small, and hopefully when players begin to share their experiences they'll start to realise just how different they are from one another, depending on the hundreds of decisions they made across the course of the game."

Red Dead Redemption 2 is hitting PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th.
