Paramount Pictures is developing two film based on the books of Tom Clancy, as reported by Variety, who tells us that Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther, Creed) will star as ex-Navy Seal John Clark in both. The first is based on Clancy's novel Without Remorse and will be an origin story, while the second is based on Rainbow Six.

Clark used to be featured as the director of Team Rainbow in the Rainbow Six games, up until Rainbow Six: Vegas, so long-time fans of the franchise will probably recognise the name.

Paramount TV and Amazon Video recently released the Tom Clancy show Jack Ryan, which was received with positive reviews and stars John Krasinski (A Quiet Place, The Office US). Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery) will be the main producer for the first film too, so there's plenty of talent on board.

Do you think these two films will work well?
