Fortnite has the world hooked, from young fans to older players getting on board with the battle royale craze, and now a new report from New York Post has informed us of an incident whereby a 45-year-old man threatened a child after a loss in the game.

Michael Aliperti from Long Island lost to an 11-year-old child, and then proceeded to send abusive messages via Xbox, as the report claims, including threatening to kill the child. This led to his arrest and being charged with aggravated harassment and acting in a manner to injure a child, while the boy (who has not been named) got an order of protection.

This serves as a lesson of warning that, while things might get heated, your actions online can have very drastic consequences in the real world.
