It shouldn't come as a complete surprise that Sony wants a piece of the retro mini console pie that Nintendo has been enjoying with the likes of NES Mini and SNES Mini. Enter PlayStation Classic, a mini version of the original PlayStation that comes loaded with 20 games including Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, R4 Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms. Other preloaded titles will be revealed closer to the worldwide release on December 3. The mini console will retail for £89.99 / €99.99 / $99.99 and the controllers will mimic the original controller (not Dual Shock) as will the packaging. The console itself is 45% smaller. The preloaded wording seems to suggest that there's the potential to load more games onto the device, but Sony has provided no such details at this point in time.
