After Square Enix delivered a troubling financial report at a recent investor's meeting, it appears that Yoichi Wada has stepped down from his position as CEO at the company, as part of "a management reorganization".
The news initially came from 4gamer.net (via Neogaf), with a Notice of Change following thereafter, confirming that Yosuke Matsuda has taken over the reigns of the company, at least until the 33rd annual general meeting of shareholders, which is due to take place in late June.
