Not too long ago Comic Book Resources noticed an advert from the National Youth Centre of Great Britain that suggested that the actress for Ciri in The Witcher TV series must not be older than 18 and that they're looking for a BAME actress, meaning black, Asian, or minority ethnic. This sent some towards showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich on Twitter to talk rather fervently about the findings, and now Hissrich has responded with her own tweet:
"It's time for a Twitter hiatus. The love here is amazing, and the hate is enlightening, like a real-life Trial of the Grasses, except I HAVE to read less and write more -- or we won't have a damn finale. Be back soon with more insight and more Roach. Be nice to each other, okay?"
Of course this hasn't put an end to debates, with plenty of responses to this tweet too, but it seems as if Hissrich is keeping her head down to focus solely on the show. Is this a good move?
Thanks, VG247.
