Despite being a platform-exclusive for PlayStation 4, Insomniac's Spider-Man is the fastest-selling game of 2018 so far, in the UK at least, beating cross-platform release Far Cry 5's impressive sales from earlier this year and almost doubling the first week sales of God of War.
According to GI.biz (which often gets an early heads up from GfK Chart-Track on matters like this) it's also the fastest selling Marvel game EVER, beating Lego Marvel Super Heroes "by a big margin".
In other chart news, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age debuted in second, a respectable result for the returning RPG franchise. Destiny 2: Forsaken, the expansion to Bungie's shared world shooter, could only muster an eighth-place finish. Here's the top ten in full:
