Nintendo Switch shifts 5 million units in Japan alone

Might the handheld hybrid outsell the PS4 in Japan sooner rather than later?

Sony's PS4 has been out for five years now. On the other hand, the Nintendo Switch has only been on the market since March 2017. Still, it looks like the Switch will probably have sold more than PS4 in Japan in the reasonably near future.

That's because according to a report on Famitsu the Switch has already sold an impressive five million units in Japan (while PS4 has sold seven million units in the same country). With that being the case it's not hard to imagine Nintendo's hybrid console overtaking Sony's home system soon.
