It's no secret that streaming is a big business these days, and the biggest of the bunch right now is Fortnite streamer Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins, but recently there has been a lot of talk around his comments at a recent Samsung event, where he said that he wouldn't play with females.
"I don't play with female gamers," he said. "If I have one conversation with one female streamer where we're playing with one another, and even if there's a hint of flirting, that is going to be taken and going to be put on every single video and be clickbait forever."
It turns out that this has caused enough of a conversation to prompt Ninja to respond, as he took to Twitter to clarify his comments in a statement.
"While I understand some people have implied my views mean I have something against playing with women, I want to make clear the issue I'm addressing is online harassment, and my attempt to minimise it from our life," he writes. "It is something that affects all streamers, especially ones that make their relationships public. I wanted to bring attention to this issue and my comments should not be characterised as anything beyond that."
What do you make of Ninja's comments?
