Behind the scenes pictures emerge of the Sonic film

Including a very appropriate slate.

A lot of people are wondering what the new live-action Sonic film will be like, and to give us a little bit of a taste some pictures have emerged behind the scenes of filming in Vancouver, Canada, where we get a sneak peek of some of the outdoor sets for Jeff Fowler's film.

Hollywood North and Just Jared have shared a few pics of what looks like a car chase with the driver dressed in a Chroma Key suit, but we also see James Marsden and Tika Sumpter - who are co-starring the film along the blue hedgehog - standing next to the car in front of a weird device.

There are dozens of pictures of the same scene at the sources, and we even get a look at the slate, which is truly befitting.
