Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is considered one of the more controversial games in the Zelda series, as it's more of a traditional J-RPG with experience points, magic, and random encounters. It's also a whole lot harder than other entries. Despite this, the game was a huge success and many considers it to be one of the best games in the series to this day.
And perhaps we can get to experience this again. When Takuya Aizu, CEO of Inti Creates (Mega Man 10, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon), was interviewed by the Nintendo Force magazine, he got the question what his dream game to make based on a Nintendo franchise would be. Here's what he replied:
"Just one!? Well, I would love to make a new The Adventure of Link for the modern era!"
