More information about Sea of Thieves: Cursed Sails

Rare has now updated the official Sea of Thieves page with plenty of new information about upcoming expansion Cursed Sails, as well as offering up some new pictures. Cursed Sails is releasing for free on July 31 and sends you out on an adventure to find out more about the skeleton pirate crews that are blocking all outposts. Something the traders don't like for obvious reasons.

This is a a time-limited campaign and by solving the mystery you will be able to get new ship liveries, items and clothes. The expansion also offers new hairstyles and dye, new pirate legend cosmetics, original tattoos/scars, and a whole lot more. Pirate dominion over the waters is being challenged by crews of skeletons, united by their warped desire for vengeance on the living. Each region will be called out, so prepare to fight to protect your favourite Outposts! Form Alliances to share the rewards of co-operation, or perhaps the new three-person Brigantine ship will help to even the odds?

Meanwhile, piece together the origins of these cursed vessels by investigating a certain rogue trader. This update includes both permanent new content and time-limited events, so jump in during the campaign to fully enjoy the spoils of war.
