Loot boxes have been a hot topic for a number of months, with the situation coming to a head most notably around the launch of Star Wars Battlefront II and Middle-earth: Shadow of War last year. Since then we've seen the aforementioned games drop and then change their loot box plans, and a number of other studios try different approaches to generating post-launch revenue, especially with official bodies starting to classify randomised loot crates as gambling.

While we've seen a few games drop the loot, other developers have stuck with it. Some studios are doing like Psyonix, however, and are releasing their drop rates so players can make informed decisions with regards to the purchases they make. Given the success of Rocket League, no doubt there will be plenty of devs taking note of the following numbers:

Rare Item: 55%
Very Rare Item: 28%
Import Item: 12%
Exotic Item: 4%
Black Market Item: 1%
Chance of receiving Painted attribute: 25%
Chance of receiving Certified attribute: 25%

So there you have it, now you know the odds of getting rare and exotic items when making these blind purchases.
