Spearhead Games' Tiny Brains

Lab animals strike back with a vengeance.

A game that Gamereactor will take a closer look at during PAX East in Boston next week is Spearhead Games Tiny Brains. Founded by veteran developers with industry veterans Simon Darveau (design director on Assassin's Creed III), Malik Boukhira, (game designer on Assassin's Creed II and Dead Space 3), and Atul Mehra (former development director on the Army of Two franchise).

So what then is Tiny Brains? Well, it's described as an action-puzzler with co-op for up to four players starring super-powered lab animals who seek revenge on a mad scientist.

"Spearhead is a team of passionate and experienced creators," said Simon Darveau. "With Tiny Brains, our ambition is to create a super fun and truly cooperative game. So far we are very excited with the results!"

Tiny Brains is targeted for release later this year on unspecified digital platforms. We suspect they're eyeing Steam, PSN, XBLA for it - but for now platforms are "to be determined".
