Activision has just announced two betas for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The first kicks off on August 3, on PS4 first and then the weekend after on PC and Xbox One. After that, in Septemeber, Treyarch will unleash battle royale mode Blackout on eager fans. Here are the dates, and all start and finish times are 6pm BST / 7pm CEST:

PlayStation 4 (Starts on August 3 and ends on August 6 at 6pm BST)
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (Starts on August 10 and ends on August 13)
PC Beta Early Access (Starts on August 10 on Battle.Net)
PC Open Beta (Starts on August 11 and ends on August 13)

Playing on six different maps with both new and returning specialists (Nomad and Prophet), participants will get a "unique, one-of-a-kind calling card" and those who hit max rank will get a "Permanent Unlock Token to apply to any piece of Create-a-Class content when the game comes out."

Modes set to feature in the beta will include Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, as well as new mode Control. With regards to the latter, here's an official description:

In Control, teams alternate rounds between attacking and defending two static objectives. Each team has a limited number of lives in this first-to-three wins match-up, so strategic strikes and defensive positioning are key, making for some fast and frenetic gunfights.
