Square Enix have announced that Dragon Quest IX is the best selling game in the history of the franchise. The Nintendo DS exclusive has racked up 5.3 million in sales, mostly in Japan where the series is even more popular than Final Fantasy. Perhaps we'll see Dragon Quest X on Nintendo 3DS?
