Anuman Interactive and Microïds have announced not one but two new Asterix & Obelix releases, developed by the OSome studio. It's a remaster of Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 and the new Asterix & Obelix XXL 3. Originally released in 2005 on PlayStation 2 and PC, Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 remastered is preparing to make its debut on November 29 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. There will be two special editions of the game released:

Asterix & Obelix XXL2 Limited Edition, which will include the video game (for PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch) as well as three figurines (Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix).

The Collector Edition 'these Gauls are crazy!' (for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions) which will include the video game, a resin figurine and other surprises to be discovered very soon.

The other news concerns, however, the new Asterix & Obelix XXL 3, which is expected to launch towards the end of 2019. Inspired by the popular comic book series, this new action adventure game will offer players the opportunity to play as Asterix or Obelix, alone or with a friend, in an adventure that includes fights, explorations and puzzles to solve. At the moment we don't have further details, but it's good to see the Gauls on the comeback trail.
