Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox Division, shared his thoughts on several topics during an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu. That interview was summed up by DualShockers, with some interesting highlights.

Talking about the next generation of Xbox consoles, confirmed during the Xbox E3 briefing, Phil Spencer is reported to have stated that investing in AI will be "will be greatly helpful to make the world of the games and their characters feel more vivid". Improved artificial intelligence should not only offer a richer gaming experience, but also help with development, allowing to simulate how a game is played, and even with the debugging process.

Aside from the AI, Phil Spencer believes providing the best hardware, capable of supporting high resolutions and frame rates, and a concept designed with the gamer at the centre is the way to go for the Xbox One successor.

In the interview, Phil Spencer is shared some insights into his relationship with Japanese developers. He apparently visits Japan frequently to talk with local developers, claiming it is important to create a stronger bond between Microsoft and Japanese publishers. He also hinted at more content from Japanese studios on Xbox One, asking Japanese gamers to look forward to future announcements.
