Publisher THQ Nordic has just announced life/trade sim The Guild 3 will change development hands before releasing on its final form. Vienna-based, newly-founded Purple Lamp Studios will take care of the remaining development, while the original team at Golem Labs in Canada "will eagerly and proudly be waiting for the release of The Guild 3", according to the press release.

THQ Nordic explains the new studio has been formed by veteran developers "to make sure The Guild 3 will leave Early Access in due course", as it's been available on Early Access for almost a year now.

The Guild 3 game is set in Medieval Europe and revolves around trade, politics, society, or love, and it's set to include advanced AI, societies system and even multiplayer for up to 16 users. No final release date has been announced, but judging by this shift it may be some time yet.
