Paradox Interactive, the Swedish developer and publisher, are launching a new indie label called Mezmer. The idea is to have a separate label to promote and market digitally distributed niche indie titles. The Mezmer website will launch in February with two titles ready for launch in May and a total of about ten titles released in 2009.
The two first titles under the Mezmer label releasing in May will be Legio by Swedish Ice Concept Studios and Stalin vs Martians from Ukrainian Black Wing Foundation.
Paradox Interactive also announced the winner of their independent games competition yesterday with The Flipotechs and their Flipside of the Divine winning a publishing deal on Gamersgate. Runners up were A Wikiped's Story from Mjao and Boingo from Black Drop Studios.
