And that's both docked and in handheld.

No less than two-thirds of Nintendo's E3 show was dedicated to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which says something about how important the game is for the company. That the star-studded brawler will run at 60FPS was expected, but with so much happening on the screen at all times, some people were worried that it wouldn't run that well in handheld mode.

Fortunately, Siliconera now reports that the game will run in 60FPS regardless of whether you are playing docked or handheld. And it will also be native 1080p when you play one the TV, and 720p in portable mode (which is the screen's maximum resolution).

As you might know, Nintendo will also launch a new series of Gamecube controllers for the game, as some fans really like this series best with that particular controller. If you already have a couple of Gamecube controllers, you will be able to use those as well with the multiplayer adapter from the Wii U.

Good news across the board, basically. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is releasing on December 7, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

"Yay, 60FPS for everyone!"
