Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online has been in development for quite some time and won't be out until 2012. Publisher THQ have revealed that the cost for completing will land at around $50 million, putting it in the same league as costly projects such as Star Wars: The Old Republic and Guild Wars 2.
This was revealed by executive vice president and CFO Paul Pucino in a conference call, but he refused to comment on what kind of subscription numbers they would need to be profitable. He did, however, add that a successful launch could see THQ making a lot of money over the next 5, 6, 7 years ahead. There is certainly a lot riding on Vigil Games' effort, but we call all be sure they will have one subscriber for sure - Gamereactor's own Petter MÃ¥rtensson.
