We hoped to hear from one of EA's upcoming Star Wars games during the EA Play conference earlier this evening, and Respawn delivered by giving us the first details from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. But we shouldn't forget about the games set in a galaxy far, far away that have already been released either, as EA had news to share from Star Wars Battlefront II.

The company acknowledged that they spent most of the months after Star Wars Battlefront II's launch making essential changes to the game, but that they've done enough of the groundwork now to start focusing on more content and quality of life changes. We already knew that we'll get more Han Solo content on June 12, and now we know that the next major update will focus on the Clone Wars. That being the case it makes sense that we'll finally get to fight as Grievous, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Dooku on Geonosis sometime this autumn.

We won't have to wait that long for more minor updates, however, as we'll see several smaller inclusions before then. A new Starfighter mode focused on piloting Hero ships awaits in July. This mode starts by spawning the four players on each side as Hero Starfighters, tasking us to eliminate all four Starfighters on the opposing team. Finally, we're told to expect a new larger-scale mode where players battle for control of objectives around the map, the option to spawn on squad mates, several other changes to how squads work, and much more in the weeks and months following that, so EA is definitely not abandoning ship anytime soon.
