The Castlevania animated series debuted last summer to largely positive reviews, and while the low episode count was heavily criticised, it at least worked as a proof of concept. After that early success, it was quickly announced that the series had been picked up for a second, longer season.
While that second series is set to debut sometime during the summer, it would seem that the Netflix honchos have taken a liking to the concept, and by the sounds of it a third season is already in the works.
We know this because the voice actor behind main character Trevor Belmont, Richard Armitage, has confirmed to Digital Spy that a third season is coming: "We're about to record a third. The second season hasn't been aired yet, but we're about to do a third."
In the same interview, Armitage revealed an interest in playing the character once again in a live-action depiction of the classic gaming series.
