Sony have announced that sales of PS Vita in Japan have quadrupled in the last week following a 20% price cut. Judging by the sales in the previous week (11,000) this should mean sales of approximately 44,000 units.
Even if the Japanese market has little bearing on software support in Europe and North America it is positive news for the platform that there is some positive development. Now a price drop in this part of the world wouldn't be a bad idea, would it?
