Petroglyph Games who were recently removed from development duties on Trion Worlds' End of Nations has surfaced with a World War II themed Kickstarter project called Victory.

Taking a cue from such games as World in Conflict, Victory does away with resource gathering and base building to focus on arena based team vs. team combat.

The game employs a cartoon-like graphical style not unlike Battlefield Heroes, and the setting is the African theatre of World War II. Petroglph Games are asking for $700,000 and in the first few hours they have reached 61 backers for a total of $2,121. A long road to victory it would seem (pun intended), but the studio has a strong resumé dating back to the early days of C&C - and Frank Klepacki will once again lend his considerable composer talents to the soundtrack.
