We have to wait five more months before Red Dead Redemption 2's launch comes around, a game that has already been delayed following its initial planned release in spring. However, it seems that Take-Two Interactive is working hard to make sure that Rockstar's western isn't held back again, and company CEO Strauss Zelnick has moved to reassure fans that there won't be a further delay.

During an interview with the American broadcaster CNBC, Zelnick reiterated that the launch date remains October 26 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

"Hand on heart," he said. "When I said hand on heart, it's over 1,000 people at Rockstar Games with their hands on their hearts."

That said, it's not the first time that the Take-Two chief has made similar remarks; back in February he said that Rockstar's next game wouldn't suffer a further setback, but sadly that didn't prove to be the case. Here's hoping lightning doesn't strike twice.

As for the game itself, we'll certainly know more about it next month when it'll be involved in the festivities surrounding E3. What news do you hope to hear?

Thanks, GameSpot.
