Bizarre Creations, the studio behind games like The Club, Blur and James Bond 007: Bloodstone, was closed down by Activision last week. Now, seven days, later, parts of Bizarre's former employees have announced that they are starting up a brand new studio - Lucid Games. The new company will be led by former senior manager Pete Wallace.

"With the great history of Bizarre behind us, we are proud to be part of Lucid and are committed to the UK game development community," Wallace said in a statement. "We plan to build a studio which encourages open communication with its partners, customers and other developers."

"We want to get back to the levels of innovation and creativity at Bizarre that made Activision so keen to acquire it", commercial director Andy Davidson told Liverpool Daily.
